Litigation Support

Applegate Group provides engineering support services for new water rights applications, change of use cases, exchanges, and plans of augmentation. Our technical analysis work is used as a basis for legal documents. For those water court cases that do not get settled, we also provide expert witness testimony in support of our work and the case. Senior level staff with many years of experience and background in the legal arena serve in this capacity.

Applegate Group has also provided litigation support services in civil disputes to various clients for the past 20+ years. We offer technical reports and testimony on feasibility issues associated with water projects and water rights, expert opinions on flooding, infrastructure failure, eminent domain disputes, and gravel pit issues.

We only take a select few cases and do not serve as hired guns. The facts of a case are important to us, and we maintain a very high standard of ethics in determining whether we will take a case. We do not actively solicit work in this area of engineering nor does our firm have a reliance on revenue from this source of work. We feel this allows us to provide the highest value to our clients when we are called in to provide an expert opinion.
